Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Many single-storey rear extensions fall under Permitted Development, but it depends on your property and area. We assess this on every project and handle the full application where required, including drawings, Building Regs and Party Wall notices.
How long does an extension take to build?
A typical single-storey rear extension takes 10–14 weeks from groundworks to handover. A two-storey or wrap-around runs 14–20 weeks. We give you a written programme of works with your fixed-price quote.
Do you handle the Party Wall agreement?
Yes. Where a Party Wall notice is required, we co-ordinate the surveyor and the neighbour notices on your behalf so the project stays on schedule.
How are payments structured?
We work to a staged payment schedule tied to clear build milestones, never large upfront deposits. Everything is set out in writing before we start.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. All workmanship is covered by a written guarantee, and we use FENSA, Gas Safe and NICEIC registered trades for regulated installations.
